If you are a food lover, you already know that pasta is one of your go-to foods. But you may assume that cooking the ‘best in the world’ pasta is only meant for professional chefs. If you have been sitting on this notion, you were wrong all along. It turns out that making the world’s best pasta – i.e., the tastiest one – is simple and economical.
You do not necessarily need pricey ingredients to prepare the yummiest pasta of your life. Marcella (who passed away in 2013) was one of the leading chefs in the world. In her book, “Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking,” Marcella explains the simple ingredients for the world’s best pasta.
The Italian renowned chef who also ended up opening in New York (Marcella) has written an exclusive cookbook that is considered to be one of the easiest cooking guides of all time. In the book Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking,” she talks about making Italian the right way. As you would expect from an Italian chef, Marcella has explained cooking in most simple words.
Likewise, she also explains what it takes to make what she calls the ‘world’s best pasta ever.’ the author and professional explains that making the yummiest pasta does not require a hard-to-learn cooking trick. Nor does it require pricey ingredients.
According to Marcella, here are three recipes that will make your pasta taste much tastier than you have ever thought:
Tinned Tomatoes
The first ingredient that you need to have – to make the yummiest pasta – is tinned or canned tomatoes. Essentially, you can either buy tinned tomatoes from your nearby grocery store. Or, you can pluck a fresh tomato from your garden and peal it – and heat it.
So, have a decent amount of tinned tomatoes handy. You can determine the amount based on the desired pasta that you are looking to prepare. On a side note, the more tinned tomatoes in your pasta, the tastier it will be.
Onion
Another simple ingredient of the world’s best pasta, Marcella suggests, is an onion. Just like tinned tomatoes, you will need to have a decent amount of onions (one large one works most of the time.)
Similarly, you will have to peel off these onions and tin them accordingly heating them up. Once they are all set, keep them aside along with the tinned tomatoes.
A Generous Knob Butter
Once you have tinned tomatoes and onions handy, the last ingredient you will need to have is butter. Make sure you are generous enough to use an adequate amount of knob butter.
Keep in mind that the real taste of your pasta comes from the knob butter. The more you use it, the tastier it will be. To do the least, make sure that your knob butter is greater than the combination of tinned tomatoes and onions. And voila! You are all set to serve the world’s yummiest pasta of all time.
